Sweetgrass Piper

Piper is another of Pebbles daughter's that is born to hunt. She is barely 12" in height with a tiny chest, I can hardly wait to get her out in the field this May. This terrier was born to hunt, especially with Buck (sire of Hudson and Bazooka) as her father. Look to Piper joining the working ranks soon! Piper is co-owned with Ron and Sue Rossmiller.

Sweetgrass Willow

Willow, affectionately known as "Willy", started her show career out with a bang as 4-6M Best Pup at the PNWJRTN show. Steve and Lenora Erb of California liked what they saw and Willy went home with them. A conflict with another bitch in their household saw Willy coming back to Washington two years later. Willy's first experience hunting was not a pleasant one as she ran into two very angry raccoons and was seriously injured. Willy is going back out into the field this May and I have no doubt that she, too, will be a part of Sweetgrass Farm's working terriers!

Briarpatch Hemi

Hemi is a recent addition to our terrier family from Jack & Terri Batzer. In going through our list of terriers, you will see the obvious influence of Briarpatch. One of my absolute favorite terriers is Hasty. An incredible hunting dog, Hasty has also won multiple Working Terrier Championships. I've hunted with Hasty and always dreamed of having one of her daughter's. Hemi will be getting out in the field in the summer of '06. I have no doubt she will be just as awesome as her mother is (of course, it doesn't hurt that Maven's Tailor is her Great Grandfather)!

Salishan Ellie

Ellie is another collaboration of Sweetgrass and Salishan successfully getting together, although this time there was a twist to it. Lois knew how heartbroken I was when I had to put Sweetgrass Libby down due to liver disease. Lois knew that Smudge had a very similar pedigree to Reba (Libby's mother), so without telling me what she was up to, the mating took place. Ellie was the wonderful result and when Lois told me she was mine, I was speechless (yes, ME!). Ellie was Reserve Best 4-6M Pup her first time out and is following in Libby's pawprints. She's an awesome little terrier, Lois.

Sweetgrass Blink

Blink is the only daughter of Briarpatch Bailey (Briarpatch Bo x Briarpatch Soot). As a young pup, Blink took an awkward step and broke her front leg in two places, thus ending her show career. She is an incredibly sweet terrier who gets her wonderful temperament from both parents. Blink has hunted successfully to groundhog, but never earned a certificate. Her current photo shows her two weeks away from whelping, so pardon the mommy figure (but she's so cute!!).

Briar Run Tramp

Tramp comes to us from Tim and Dawn Weiss in Illinois. Bred similarly to Fox Run Reba, but without the eye problems, I fell in love with her when I saw her as a young pup. When she was still available at 6 months, the handwriting was on the wall. Tramp has a very strong hunting background, so she will be started in the field this fall. Her show career started off with a bang as she was Reserve Bitch pup at the huge Texas trial. Thank you, Dawn and Tim, we hope to make you proud!

Rancho Fiasco Kaddy (as in Kadillac!)

"Kaddy" has one of the sweetest personalities, which comes from both mom and dad, and she is very vocal in telling you how it is, or how it's gonna be! Another thing that comes from her parents is hunting instinct. Kaddy will be started in the field June of '08. Her show career started out with a bang and I'm sure her hunting career will be even better.
